Day 1 – Friday 3rd November,2017 

The second edition of ART X Lagos officially started on the 3rd of November 2017. The opening ceremony was graced by over 2,000 VIP guests who came from far and wide. Some of the noticeable guest included His Highness the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido,  the Honourable Minister of Information & Culture, Lai Mohammed, and many more from around Africa and the world, who came out in their thousands to see the phenomenal works on display by over 60 of Africa’s most innovative artists.

Day 2 – Saturday 4th November,2017 
The day’s program began at 10:00am, with the fair opened to the general public. On display were art works from different African artists, a live art studio, a colouring bus, Art X Talks and a thrilling ART X Live performance from emerging musicians and artists that brought the day to an end.

Day 3 – Sunday 5th November 2017 

Online registration is now closed, but interested guest can register on arrival at The Civic Centre.

11am – 8pm: General Opening
The fair will be open to the public on Sunday.
Admission is via registration.

2:00pm – 2:15pm: Performance by Johnson Uwadinma 

2:00pm – 3:00pm: Art Intervention at SMILE by Tunde Alara 

3:00pm – 4:15pm: Leading Contemporaries, In Conversation with Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Sponsored by Chapel Hill Denham
On the occasion of her first public artist talk in Nigeria, Njideka Akunyili Crosby talks about her practice and influences.

4.30pm – 5.45pm: Collecting Today for Tomorrow, Sponsored by Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, moderated by Femi Lijadu,
This panel discussion brings into focus the nuances of bringing out the true value of an art collection through corporate social responsibility, legacy building and management of art as an asset class.

6:00pm – 7:15pm: Witnessing the Present, the Artist as Citizen, Sponsored by The Ford Foundation
A conversation between artists Peju Alatise and Wura-Natasha Ogunji, moderated by N’Goné Fall.

7.30pm: Performance by Wura-Natasha Ogunji 

7:45pm: ART X Prize – The Prize Giving
Out of over 600 entries, the winner of the ART X Prize with Access will be announced.
