Wakaa the musical stage play has gained a lot of attention ever since it’s debut in 2015. The play even grabbed more headlines as the first Nigerian stage musical to be staged at London’s West End.

So, it’s no surprise that the musical stage play has shown severally at the newly built Terra Kulture Arena by popular demand.

The Wakaa the musical is a play that portrays the trails, tribulations and eventual successes that a group of Nigerian youths experience while coming of age in the present day economy riddled with uncertainty, hardship and venality in the country.

The play begins with a realization by the youth that life after university is no easy feat as they anticipate there professionals lives and begin their journey to fighting for their future.

But, they are soon awaken to the rude realities of life, when Rex is deported from London and Tosan unknowingly is used as a figurehead by his uncle the governor to loot the state. Despite their challenges Love still finds them as Ngozi get married in a very colorful Nigerian traditional wedding while Kike is seen heartbroken over her breakup with Tosan.

Some of the scenes also portrayed the Nigeria political practice and displayed how the youngsters can change the game of politics in the country to a less exploitative practice that will be beneficial to all.

The almost two hour-long musical was quite captivating as it held the audience spellbound until the very last scene.

The London edition of the musical was shown earlier this month from  June 1st – 4th  2017, at the Terra Kulture Arena.
